Quick update on the DAM replacement ๐ŸŒŠ

WPOA is currently exploring the option of applying to the County to fund the Dam through an Ad Valorem tax. Nothingโ€™s locked in โ€” itโ€™s just being looked at as a potential path forward.

Weโ€™ll be diving into the details at the Annual Meeting on April 6th, so mark your calendar. When you receive your meeting packet ahead of time, youโ€™ll find all the relevant information included there.

Towing is being enforced. Yes, like actually enforced this year. And that surprise could run you up to $500 โ€” which is a lot less fun than fish tacos and a sunset.

So letโ€™s keep it easy:

  • Post your vehicle pass anytime youโ€™re parking in a common area.
  • Have your member pass on you when youโ€™re enjoying those common areas.
  • And make sure your guests are fully beach-legal with both guest passes and vehicle passes.

Board volunteers are dedicating additional time to collections efforts, and we are contacting residents via certified letter. Leaves, grass, branches โ€” none of it belongs in the water. Help keep our lake clean, healthy, and sparkling for everyone to enjoy!

๐Ÿš— Parking Guidelines
Per our rules & regulations, all vehicles should be parked at least 5 feet from the pavement, if possible.
At a minimum, all tires must be completely off the pavement.
This helps keep our roads clear, safe, and easy to navigate.

๐Ÿ›บ Golf Cart Safety
Cruising is fun โ€” but safety comes first!

  • Drivers must have a valid driverโ€™s license
  • All posted signs and speed limits must be obeyed

If you witness vandalism on any WPOA property, please report it immediately to the Sheriff at 804-966-9500.

  • ๐ŸŒพ Removed overgrowth along the shoreline at the Office & Beach
  • ๐ŸŽจ Repaired and repainted Pavilion picnic benches
  • ๐Ÿงผ Cleaned and reorganized the Pavilion kitchen and back room

To enjoy all Community areas and amenities, valid passes are required.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Passes are valid March 31 โ€“ March 31 each year.

Hereโ€™s what youโ€™ll need:

  • Present your Membership Card
  • Display your Vehicle Identification Card in your windshield
  • Guests must have a One-Day Pass and a Guest Vehicle Identification Card

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Passes for all paid members can be obtained at the office.

Please note: This requirement applies to all Community areas and is being actively monitored and enforced.
